Hey guys,
To be frank, I'm not sure I'm using this site properly. I'll briefly recall my itinerary: for a long time, I had a mishmash of vague ideas for original Harry Potter characters, plotlines and the like. I'd also been very into Tom Riddle-centric fics. So the idea came; a Tom Riddle-centric fic narrated entirely from the perspectives of those acquainted with him, but not from him directly. I felt like this would magnify, rather than subvert, his personality. In the span of less than two weeks, I write 12 chapters, totalling around 37k~ words. I did not proof-read a single word of any of it until I had finished the end of the twelfth chapter. By today, I've proof-read, revised, and uploaded four chapters onto FFN & Ao3.
I wasn't sure how to get more attention to my story, but I was told on a discord server that one could look for their Fandom on Tumblr. Following that proposition, I talked to people on a few other discords, only to learn that Tumblr had imploded in the past few days, due to a scandal which I don't think needs any elaboration on. I was redirected to this website, and I guess I'm here now. Ths UI is very unfamiliar from the websites I've used- maybe it's because I'm only 18; it feels vaguely like the websites I browsed when I was very young, but back then, I'd absolutely no idea what I was doing, nor any agenda to do anything. Now, I'll get straight to the chase; I would be very happy for any and all feedback on my new Tom Riddle-centric fic, In Noctem
It features a handful of OC characters; I'd especially like to know where I can improve on characterisation- thank you.
